Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that can be found in every county in Idaho. It's odorless, tasteless, and invisible. Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer among non-smokers.

Radon enters homes through small cracks in floors, walls, and foundations. The EPA and Surgeon General recommend that people not be exposed to radon levels above 4.0 pCi/L. However, 40.2% of homes tested in Idaho are greater than 4.0 pCi/L.
